It's time for this week's edition of Wedding Wednesday where Rebecca of Tastefully Entertaining and I put together 2 wedding inspiration boards based on the designs & colors in a piece of stationery. Today's Wedding Wednesday post was inspired by this azure blue and white Crane & Co. eyelet wedding invitation.
When I put together my inspiration boards I tend to pull from both color and design. Delicate eyelet patterns lend themselves well to the paper lantern and white eyelet cake. The pattern is most popular on textiles so what better way to feature the design then in a seersucker dress with eyelet bow or white eyelet dress for the bridesmaids. Adding a satin sash to the latter brings together the color and pattern of the theme.
Not to be upstaged by eyelets, pale blues compliment crisp whites in the flower girl's flower petal cone, bird boutonnière, favours, escort cards and periwinkle tabletop [via Mindy Rice]. Adding color to your signature drink, as seen with these champagne flutes [via style me pretty], adds a dash of unexpected color.
Be sure to check out Rebecca's post here to see more inspiration. The dress she found is just perfect - I wanted to steal it for my board (but that would be cheating). ;)
