Wedding Wednesday: Sunny Yellow Bridal Shower

I never thought I'd be one to say this but hooray for Wednesday! Today, like every Wednesday, Rebecca of Tastefully Entertaining and I pull one card from our site and create a mood board / inspiration board around it. Today's card is the cheery invitation from on of my favourite stationers - smudge ink. This card is shown on our site as a garden party invitation but it's great for a baby or bridal shower, graduation party or an elegant birthday party.


The one flower that really sums of spring and yellow for me is the forsythia [photo by OliBac]. I think these would make a beautiful and simple arrangement in tall white or clear vases.

For the table top, consider using large bubble tea straws in tea or lemonade. If you're using a white or black tablecloth this dinnerware set from Raynaud will really pop [via toastandtables]. For favors I was split between these two AWESOME options: plantains in cello bags (shown here with marigold garlands) or a personalized honey pot as seen on the knot.
