Wedding Wednesday: Turquoise and Lime Green Bamboo Bridal Shower

Welcome to this week's edition of Wedding Wednesday. Once again Rebecca of Tastefully Entertaining and I have paired up to bring you two unique wedding inspiration boards based on a card from FineStationery. As summer approaches, wedding colors shift from a more subdued pastel pallet to bright, tropical hues. This bold blue card from Simply Put by Ashley Woodman is perfect for a summer shower. The corresponding lime green envelope really makes the colors in the card pop!

I really wanted to focus on the overall feel of the card. Bamboo is a motif that often evokes a tranquil feeling while the turquoise and lime send a tropical vibe. I loved this beach tent set up that I spotted on Style Me Pretty. So relaxing. Setting up a few centerpieces of bamboo in blue vases will tie in the color of the invitation. They would also make excellent take home favours!

If you can't bring the party to the beach, you can always bring the beach to the party. Bamboo details like throw pillows or furniture (like this vintage piece from 1st Dibs) make your bridal shower bold and bright. For drinks, consider citrus beverages adorned with ribbon flags (via MS) or host a bridal tea.

I always like to throw some attire inspiration into these posts - I loved the emerald and turquoise ties featured on Martha Stewart and these bright blue bamboo bangles.

Rebecca's inspiration board really captured the color combination well. Below are two of my favourite items - love that cake! You must stop by Tastefully Entertaining and see her Teal & Lime inspiration board.
