Wedding Wednesday: An Avian Inspired Engagement Party

Welcome once more to Wedding Wednesday. Today Rebecca and I selected a delightful engagement party invitation featuring birds on branches for our inspiration boards. I am a big bird lover (owls mostly) so doing this shower theme was super fun!

-A sweet and simple tabletop. Outdoor events can be difficult to pull off, but when you do the results are spectacular.
-Here's a great idea for your avian affair - use vintage bird cages for decor or as a card holder.
-There are a variety of bird cake toppers available, so selecting a set to suit your style has never been easier. I love them perched atop a faux bois cake.
-How perfect are these bird plates by Lenox?
-These ceramic birds from Paloma's Nest can be custom printed with the wording of your choice which makes them ideal as place cards that also serve as favours.
-Another fabulous favour idea is personalized tins. The calligraphy inspired tin above holds an assortment of teas.
-When all is said and done, you'll be sending out more Thank You notes than you ever thought possible. I think this love bird personalized stationery compliments the invitation nicely.
-I've featured etsy seller Mosey dozens of times for her lovely nests. Why not once more?
-My absolute favourite idea for a place card / favour is this adorable nest with a hand stamped feather. So easy to do and it looks beautiful.

Rebecca's inspiration board is gorgeous and features the work of Ann Wood and Rebecca Thuss - two of my favourite artists. Be sure to stop by Tastefully Entertaining to check it out. Here's a taste!
