Wedding Wednesday: A Rockin' Moroccan Bridesmaid Luncheon

I am SO jazzed for today's Wedding Wednesday! This week Rebecca of Tastefully Entertaining and I selected this fabulous Prentiss Douthit pink and orange tapestry style invitation. As soon as I saw the invitation, I was inspired to create a festive, over-the-top Moroccan-style bridesmaids' luncheon.

[Clockwise from top left: peachy petals in a pink vase add pop to your table top, white lilac offers incredible event styling - LOVE the silk runner and hanging lanterns like this one from Urban, prentiss douthit orange and pink party invitation, the orange and fuchsia open tent against the aqua sky creates a beautiful palate, delightful ice cream cupcakes from Miss Martha, decorative paper lanterns are always a fun option, Morrocan tea glasses are perfect for serving in style, a fun tabletop adorned with pink, orange and fuchsia fabrics and peonies [via snippet & ink]]

If hiring an event design studio for your luncheon isn't in the cards, you can easily DIY by purchasing bright florals, paper lanterns (or crafting some tin can lanterns) and fabrics in fuchsia and orange.

Rebecca and I like to give out "best cake awards" to the party who happens to find the best cake for the affair. Judging from the photo below, I'd have to say she wins this week -- don't you agree? Be sure to visit Tastefully Entertaining for more event inspiration!
