A Wishes Party

Here at FineStationery.com, we are often asked if it’s proper to have a baby shower for a second child. It’s a bit of a sticky situation, because while you want each of your children to be welcomed into the world as warmly as the first, you also don’t want to look like you’re greedy for gifts. So what is a momma-to-be to do?

While perusing one of my favorite blogs, What Junebug Loves, I found the perfect solution—a Wishes Party. Instead of a standard Sip and See that one might host after a baby’s birth, a Wishes Party allows guests to not only see your newest addition, but also handwrite their wishes and blessings for the babe. The resulting “wishes tree” is a keepsake you and your child will be able to cherish for many years (and also makes for an adorable accessory for your nursery).
