While perusing one of my favorite blogs, What Junebug Loves, I found the perfect solution—a Wishes Party. Instead of a standard Sip and See that one might host after a baby’s birth, a Wishes Party allows guests to not only see your newest addition, but also handwrite their wishes and blessings for the babe. The resulting “wishes tree” is a keepsake you and your child will be able to cherish for many years (and also makes for an adorable accessory for your nursery).
Below is an inspiration board that Rebecca from Tastefully Entertaining and I assembled for a whimsical pink and brown Wishes Party.
Top Row: Brown and Pink Table Setting; Rose Serenade Glassware; Pink and Brown Cake
Middle Row: Pink Place Card by Checkerboard; Pink and Brown Taffy Favor by Martha Stewart
Bottom Row: Pink and Chocolate Invitation by Vera Wang; Pink Taffeta Baby Dress; Wishing Tree

Pink and brown really rocks, they look so good together. That is such a nice inspiration board. Its a cool idea to have a wish party at least you can show to all your children that they are welcomed long before they arrive.
What a great idea! I love the wishes tree! I'm going to keep that in mind even if we have a regular baby shower. I would love to have that for my baby's nursery.
