Momma Mondays: Unique Gifts for Kids

Every year before Christmas, my brother, sister and I would sit down at the kitchen table to compile our wish lists for Santa. Our lists always contained the "hot" holiday items like the kid sister doll, miraculous wetting baby or in my brother's case; a rad race car track. I often wonder if we really wanted the toys we were asking for, or if we'd just been brainwashed by all of the toy advertisements we'd been exposed to during Saturday morning cartoons.

With this in mind, I set out to find a few kids' gifts that are just as fun, yet unique and free from all the commercialization. You may not find these items in the weekly sales papers, but they're sure to receive rave reviews from the tots and tweens in your life.
