Re-Purposing Holiday Decor for your New Year's Party

Event planner Shawn Rabideau (who happens to be one of Celebrations.com's Party Planning Experts) appeared on Fox News Live last week to discuss re-purposing your holiday decorations for New Year's Eve parties. In case you missed the segment,  you can check it out {here}. We loved Shawn's great tips! Below, he is featuring one of our fun New Year's Eve invitations -- the Countdown Invitation by Meri Meri!

Shawn's tips:

- Turn a Christmas wreath into a winter wreath or centerpiece by removing the red decorations and ribbons and leaving any silver or snowy white accents.

- Use wine glasses and other glassware to hold candles. Add leftover sugars from Christmas cookies for an accent.

- Use leftover decorating sugars from holiday sugar cookies to rim the glasses for New Year's Eve cocktails.

- Reduce stress by creating a to-do list for your party prep.

Shawn also put together two amazing tables for a bit of holiday party inspiration. You can check them out {here}.

Thanks, Shawn!
