Summer Entertaining Idea: Scoop ice cream into small jars with tight lids, then place them in a bucket of ice or a cooler. Kids and other guests can grab their ice cream treat as they please, and you're not stuck in the kitchen scooping all afternoon!

Would this work with standard mason jars? With their metal lids? Love this idea and have several mason jars w lids on hand.
