Having just relocated from Los Angeles to Wilmington, Delaware, Maggie was nine months pregnant with baby #3 and quietly dreading the idea of dragging two toddlers into the local stationery store to buy birth announcements. Only days before her due date, Maggie shot out of bed at 3 AM with a revelation: stationery shopping should be about convenience, and the internet could provide the perfect platform. Maggie spent the rest of the night confirming her hunch; there was not one website that provided customized, personalized invitations and announcements on the web. She began immediately buying up domain names and www.finestationery.com was born.
Maggie enlisted the help of her husband Matt to develop a business plan, financials and infrastructure needed to launch the company. Matt's extensive background in business development working for such high profile companies as Borden, Time Warner and Universal Studios enabled them to quickly develop a strategy that would work. Maggie quickly moved on to building a customer service team, choosing the best vendors to work with and developing the interactive web experience that has come to define the company's dedication to customer ease and convenience.
