Holiday Parties: Ornament Swap

This isn't so much of a theme as much as some inspiration for those of us working on our ornaments for the annual swaps we attend. Ornaments have been on my mind a lot lately - especially since I have signed up for the Cake & Pie / freshly{blended} ornament swap (now closed). Here are some ideas for my fellow crafters or for anyone planning to host or attend an ornament swap this year.

Top Row: Sprinkles holiday ornament invitation, a bright and cheerful holiday heart from Free People, Giraffe ornament from Jonathan Adler, black and white patterned invitation by Checkerboard.

Second Row: Gorgeous dress ornament from anthropologie, Simply Put by Ashley Woodman holiday cocktail invitation, ornament invitation by mainio, forest branch garland from anthro (I realize this is not an ornament but it was too pretty not to post).

Third Row: Amazing handmade felted ornament by hine, pink birds and branches holiday card by KT Original, crocheted Guatemalan ornaments from Mission: Guatemala, paisley bells greeting card by Smudge Ink.

The funniest part of this feature is that most of the pairings were accidental! I was just pulling random cards and ornaments I liked and noticed that some of them matched or were eerily similar. The last row was the only group I had to work a little bit. I had originally selected this green bird ornament from hine, but swapped it out in favor of the red bird.

Best of luck to all of you doing some sort of ornament exchange, cookie swap or other holiday gift exchange!
