Our Pets, Our Friends

I'll be taking off early today to take my cat, Mamasita*, to the vet (she has a food allergy) so this will be the last post. Appropriately, I wanted to re-post something that Kelly of Design Crush had highlighted today.
The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated daily to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on the purple box - fund food for animals - for free. This doesn't cost you a thing and is entirely FREE. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.
This is an easy way to contribute to a cause that I think many people can identify with. I can't think of anyone I know who doesn't consider their pet to be both a friend and part of the family. So please take the time to stop by the site today - and every day - to make a donation. Please don't make my other cat, Bobby (shown below & also a feral colony rescue), beg:

*Mama is a cat that my family rescued from a feral cat colony. We trapped and neutered the mother and found homes for the remaining kittens. Mama was originally destined to be adopted but her mental development was rather slow and we were concerned that no one would want to care for her. I didn't even like her but she loved me to death and would follow me around crying "Mama!" (hence the name).
