Wedding Wednesday: A Green & White Wedding

It's time for Wedding Wednesday where Rebecca of Tastefully Entertaining and I select a wedding-related stationery item from the site and create inspiration boards that showcase our interpretation of the colors and designs featured. Today's card is a cheerful engraved green and white kate spade invitation.

The simple white card with a pop of green inspired me to take a similar approach when considering items for the wedding. As the invitation featured a spray of flowers, I wanted to add touches of greenery to the wedding. Like flowers, leaves come in a variety of colors and give your wedding a lush feel. Tie or hang white and green floral sprays from posts. Incorporate fresh leaves and vines into your table settings in creative ways like this branch runner or birch vase centerpieces [via d*s guest blog]. If you're looking for a twist on the classic white cake, consider using leaves on the wedding cake [Time].

You don't have to be Miss Matchy when it comes to your bridesmaids. Dresses that run the spectrum of a single hue allow your maids to illustrate their individuality and create visual appeal while staying within the bounds of your color scheme [Faye & Greer]. A green sash, like the one on this Vera Wang wedding dress, ties your party together.

The Candy Bar idea as seen on the knot is a great addition to your reception when filled with green & white m&m's, apple Jolly Ranchers and green apple jellies. For unforgettable favors, macaroons from Paulette cannot be beat. Trust me on this one.

Be sure to visit Tastefully Entertaining for Rebecca's interpretation of our card in addition to inspiring entertaining ideas like this egg decorating party and black and yellow dinner party. Fabulous!
