Let's Have a Blue Christmas!

With Thanksgiving on the way, we are anxious to start celebrating the holiday soon to follow... CHRISTMAS! Christmas is one of the most wonderful times of the year. From the lights and decorations, to the songs and hymns, everyone likes something about the holiday (unless your name is Grinch or Scrooge!)

Inspired by the song "Blue Christmas", we've decided to host a Blue Christmas Holiday Party! Using recipes from, check out how easy it is to put together a party of your own:

Start the holiday festivities off with a great holiday invitation. This blue wreath has a Christmas feel without too much red and green overkill.  Be sure to send them out early! The earlier guests know about your party, the easier it is for them to block off time for it in their busy social calendars. Real Simple Winter Holly Invitation

Having a signature cocktail is always a fun addition to any party. Just make sure to have one or two to fit different taste preferences, and other options for those who would like non-alcoholic drinks as well. We really enjoyed the great color on this Blue Christmas cocktail from Blue Christmas Cocktail

As far as treats go, the more sweets the better! No one can turn down a delicious English sugar cookie, or an adorably displayed hot chocolate favor on their way out.

As far as decorations go, simple add ons can go a long way. Replace dried floral arrangements with fresh tulips, and switch out seashells for christmas bulbs and pinecones where needed. These winter white tulips make for a great table centerpiece, or a gift for a hostess this holiday.
